    Concrete Contractor in Canandaigua, NY

If you’re looking for a concrete contractor in Canandaigua, NY, we install driveways, patios, and foundations built for durability on sloped terrain and lake-influenced properties. From homes near Canandaigua Lake to neighborhoods along Route 332 and West Lake Road, we build concrete designed to handle elevation changes, drainage challenges, and long-term performance.

Why Homeowners in Canandaigua Choose Our Concrete Services

Concrete work in Canandaigua often requires more planning than a typical installation. Between sloped properties, lake proximity, and higher expectations for outdoor spaces, the details matter. We’ve worked throughout Canandaigua and understand how to approach these projects. Whether it’s a driveway on a hill or a patio overlooking the lake, we focus on proper grading, structural integrity, and clean finishes that match the property.

Our goal is simple: build concrete that performs well and fits the space it’s built for.

    Recent Concrete Projects in Canandaigua

We’ve completed a range of concrete projects across Canandaigua, many involving slope and lake proximity.

    • Stamped concrete patio overlooking Canandaigua Lake — built for both durability and visual appeal with drainage control
    • Backyard patio near Route 332 — installed with elevation adjustments to prevent water pooling
    • Foundation work on hillside property — reinforced to handle slope and long-term stability

Each project is designed to match the property and prevent common issues related to terrain.

What Should You Consider for Lakefront Concrete Projects?

Properties near Canandaigua Lake are exposed to higher moisture levels and runoff. This requires careful planning to prevent water from weakening the base or damaging the surface. Proper drainage and sealing play a key role in long-term performance.

Concrete Challenges in Canandaigua, NY (And How We Build to Prevent Them)

Concrete in Canandaigua is heavily influenced by elevation and proximity to the lake. Without proper planning, these factors can lead to long-term problems.

Most issues come from not accounting for slope and water movement — not the concrete itself.

    Preventing Surface Wear on Inclines

Driveways on slopes experience more stress from vehicles and weather.

We install reinforced concrete designed to handle these conditions without early deterioration.

    Controlling Water Runoff

Water naturally flows downhill, which can lead to erosion or pooling if not properly managed.

We ensure proper slope and drainage so water moves away from the concrete.

    Managing Elevation Changes

Sloped properties require careful grading and structural support. Without it, concrete can shift or crack over time.

We design installations that work with the terrain instead of against it.

TLDR: NG Masonry does outstanding work. Noah, Dave, and Teresa are fantastic people who care about precision, long‑term quality, and keeping the whole process stress free. I recommend them 1000 percent. Detail: Working with NG Masonry and Construction was a genuinely great experience. Noah, Dave, and Teresa were easy to talk to, kept me updated at every step, and clearly take pride in doing things the right way. Their communication was excellent, and the level of precision they brought to the project really stood out. This wasn’t just a garage floor and sidewalk replacement. It felt like a mix of craftsmanship and engineering. They treated my home and property with more care than any contractor I’ve ever hired. Everything was protected, cleaned up, and handled with real respect. The project stayed right on schedule, and they made the whole process simple and stress free. What really sets them apart is how they plan for the future. This wasn’t a quick fix or a basic replacement. They engineered the entire project to last. The drainage, the pitch, the base, the concrete mix, the reinforcement, all of it was done with long‑term durability in mind. You can feel the difference when you see the final result. I’m proud of how things turned out. The garage and sidewalk look the way they should look. Solid, clean, and built to stay that way. I feel confident in their work and relieved at how well everything turned out. NG Masonry went above and beyond from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants high quality work done by people who care. And if you’re a future customer, ask them what makes their process different from other contractors. You’ll be surprised at how much goes into doing it the right way.

We were so impressed with NG Masonry's work! After a bad experience with another contractor, it was a relief to work with NG Masonry. They demoed our existing patio and installed a new broom finish patio. They communicated clearly, hit their promised timeline, were tidy, and worked hard to understand our property and priorities and install something that checked all the boxes and looks like it will be functional and beautiful for a long time. Thanks again!

If you are looking for a Masonry contractor in Monroe County NY, Noah and the team at NG Masonry & Construction should be your top choice. Noah demonstrated why they have a high BBB rating. I was looking for a company to put in a 17 x 14 patio. We need a pad this size as we are going to install a gazebo and with the high winds we have had lately, over 40mps, I wanted a pad that would make sure the gazebo was firmly anchored. I check the BBB website and found a few contractors that had high ratings. After contacting them, I only heard from two NG and another company. The other company quoted a job that I considered substandard as it was a 4 in pad and wire mesh in the concrete. Noah then quoted a 5 in pad and rebar in the concrete. A much stronger and durable pad then just wire mesh and thick enough to make sure I can anchor the gazebo as per manufactures requirements. The installation took about 30 hours over 3 days and as you can see from the photo, it look like we have individual slabs installed instead of one continous pad. The after job cleanup was fantastic, since every thing had to be barreled in from the street, any damage to the lawn was leveled out, top soil applied and then seeded. As you can see, they also graded aound the pad and seeded. I have no problem with recommending them to anybody that needs Masonry work. Great Job Noah!!!

How Do Sloped Driveways Affect Concrete Installation?

Sloped driveways require more than just pouring concrete. Without proper grading and reinforcement, the surface can crack, shift, or become unsafe during winter. We design driveways to handle both traction and structural stress over time.

How Do Elevation Changes Impact Patio Design?

Elevation affects how water flows and how the patio is used. A poorly planned patio can lead to pooling or uneven surfaces. We design layouts that work with the terrain and maintain usability.

Featured Canandaigua Project: A Stamped Patio Built Around the Tree

The owners of this Canandaigua home wanted a real patio but did not want to lose the Japanese maple anchoring the backyard. We designed a large stamped concrete patio in a light gray ashlar pattern that wraps right around the tree, leaving a clean planting circle in the center so the maple stays the centerpiece.

Working around an established tree takes planning: we set the base and graded for drainage without disturbing the root area, then poured, stamped, and sealed one continuous surface. The result is a patio with the look of natural stone, no joints for weeds, and a finish built to hold its color through Finger Lakes winters.
